Hi, Sharon!

I am a complete stranger who was forwarded your e-mail on stuckness, and so I'm offering mine.

I am stuck (probably not, but I FEEL stuck) in my job.

My response to "probably not": The first step to changing anything is a clear admission that you are listening to your Higher Self say "I don't like this. ..playfully saying, "I HAVE FALLEN INTO STUCKNESS AND I CAN'T GET UP" is good admission for starts.

I'm a cook, and I love it, but the schedule's brutal, the pay's not so great, I'm tired of working every weekend and holiday, and it's hard on the body at my age (48), too. Although I'm talented at many things, the thought of finding other work is overwhelming. I don't even know what exists to try! At least now, I enjoy being very good at what I do, but I can't do it forever.

Dear, you are not meant to do it "forever". You are meant to perform in a job as long as it is serving to you. This job is not serving you as it once did. Don't overstay your welcome..

Here are some ideas:

1. Practice Believing!!! Say the following:
   "Since it is fact that this current job is for the most part not a complete match for me. It is equally a fact that there exists a new match already in existence. The Universe wants nothing more than to provide it for me because I am SUPPOSED to keep growing and flowing in life. I CHOSE TO BELIEVE!!!!!!" If I believe in Spirit to provide for me, it will help others to believe"
2. Ask a friend to coach you if you cannot afford a professional coach. You can coach her on something in return.
3. This will help you to calm down and you can temporarily borrow her more objective energy. By setting time each week to take another step, you are practicing allowing in love and help. How wonderful that feeling is.
4. Your statement, "I am talented at many things." is an important one. List all the ways that you are talented...this can include people skills. Allow any thoughts to come to you and write them down in a special journal marked something like "New Vision". Have a small journal for your car and another for your home. New Visions or any other words are a bit softer than New Career....which still scares you as not being a possibility.

Your angels want to feed you ideas. You will need to quiet your mind through walking in the woods or near nature of any kind, taking a shower, meditating from 5 to 20 min. a day, riding in your car, etc.

Be Watchful and observant...Be open to synchronistic events.
Write down everything you know about your needs. You may try several different headings such as "My talents" or "The kind of work setting I would like" "The kind of people I would like" The kind of hours/responsibility" etc. and keep adding information to them. Brainstorm and know you can go back later and pick out the gold nuggets. Don't dismiss anything you put down or try to form it into some kind of lucrative job at this point.

Plan to share this with your "coach".

Have fun doing your part. Tell people you are looking for a new creative way to make a living. Ask for their ideas. Your angels will make sure you meet the right people.

Isn't that a great reaction on your part? It means that you know your worth and that you will need to find something of sufficient worth. You are supposed to make sufficient money. And if you TRUST DEEPLY of course you are meant to have all your needs and more met. Imagine that you are making lots of money doing what you love doing and how good a role model this is for others.

In today's paper, it says that 86% of women over 65 have less than $10,000 saved toward retirement and will need to work until they are 76. I think this is largely because women suffer from uncertainty about their worth and don't feel entitled as men do.

It is true that at times, we give very specific advice about a new "career". For you, it is all about enjoying the journey...the process....If we spoke up about what you will be doing, it would rob you of the precious journey you are already on...and which we helped you to see the importance of continuing.
